Fires Related to Candles

Recently, our surrounding area has been seeing a spike in Fires to homes. An unexpected fire was related to a candle that was left burning during a recent power outage. 

Key Points:

-Keep candles away from loose fabric materials

-Windows

-Keep candles away from walls & cabinets 

-Candles should be placed in the center of a surface and should not be left unattended for long periods of times.  

The Columbus residence was thankfully able to put of the fire. There was structure damage throughout the home and to her personal property.  

SERVPRO of Columbus, was able to assist the owner, with securing the structure, packing & cleaning contents, cleaning the structure and are now in the process of repairs.
