SERVPRO arrived and extracted the hard surfaces, then treated the area with anti-microbial and placed drying equipment for 3-days. After the equipment was removed the tile flooring was cleaned. 

Water losses can take place in a blink of an eye. This local business was in the middle of closing their office for the evening. When they noticed water coming through the bathroom door, into the hallway. They called SERVPRO and we dispatched a crew within the hour. 

In this photo you can see the employees placing fans and moving items off the floors. We arrived and started the extraction process and then placed dehumidifiers and air movers on the property. Dryout took 4 days and little demo was performed. 

This water loss was not found until 2 months after the loss took place. The insured was not on the property at that time and there was an active slab leak. When the insured arrived home not only did he have an active water leak, but the home was covered with growth. SERVPRO took action right away! We set up an plumber/leak detection company and containment barriers around the area to prevent additional spread. Then we started inventorying the contents, removing damaged materials, and treating the areas so that once remediation was completed the GC handling the claim could come in.

This local church had an electrical fire in the sanctuary. 

They called SERVPRO and following the below steps:

1. Called insurance provider

2. Got estimates for mitigation/repairs

3. Scheduled services with SERVPRO

4. Completed repairs

The church was able to reopen for services within a month once all repairs were completed. Then they called our office to handle the odor and structure cleaning for the property. 

In this photo you can see that our technicians are in a full tyvek suit, with N95 mask, and gloves. Our technicians were in a property where the cause of loss was from an electrical fire. 

In the photos you will see that the tyvek suits are no longer white, the have black soot on the materials from walking within the property and performing the demo services. 

Not all Fire damages will require a full PPE gear. However, this one we wanted to make sure that our technicians were ready for anything.

We are honor to be able to assist with the disinfecting and prevention cleaning of the Columbus Police Department vehicles. During this time of need. We are grateful for the men and women that are servicing our communities each and every day. 

Our water technicians enclosed this kitchen with a containment barrier in order to isolate the findings that were located on this property. In some of our claims, we will place containment for mold, asbestos, and to assist with prevent dust demo or remodels.  

SERVPRO of Columbus held our annual CE CLASS at Columbus Recycling Center this year. 

SERVPRO of Columbus offers yearly CE CLASSES for our local Agents and Adjusters that are interested in attending for their yearly credit. 

This year we were able to return to the Columbus Recycling Center to host our CE CLASS. We had a wonderful turn out with all of our local agents. This year's class was on Ethics.

This week we are celebrating 5 years of dedication and service of our Mitigation Department Job File Coordinator Casey Roberts. Casey wears many hats in the company and for this we are very thankful.

We are excited to be expanding our fleet once again. We have added two pickups to ever growing company. Our construction department now has two trucks in order to assist in their workloads.

Today our marketing representative Robyn Nunley went to the "Women In Business" lunch conference that Columbus, GA Mayor Mrs. Tomlinson spoke at. This was a great experience where we were able to show our support to locally own businesses and learn our Mayor's background and work history in our area.
